Ooops. Hope they will fit...

I have the G35 Sedan with Sport suspension. I called Discount Tire Direct today. Twice. Originally was going to get 225/45/18 tires and 7.5" wheels, but they didn't have much selection in stock in that tire size. Two different sales people suggested 245/45/18.

Anyway, in a moment of trigger happiness I ordered a full set of 245/45/18 tires with 8.5" rims (+45 offset). But now, a couple of hours later, I'm hoping they fit OK.

I've read that some people have this same setup--but I'm getting the post-purchase heebie jeebies and hope these tires won't show up and not fit in the front. Basically, they are going to be an extra 19mm wide on both the inside and outside of the wheel.

Anyone have photos of that configuration? Is understeer a problem? Opinions welcome.

Well, I chickened out and cancelled my order. What I really want are 225/45/18s, so I'm going to have to do some looking around. The 245s might fit but I think they are going to be too fat for my tastes.

go with 265 in the back and 245 in the front...trust me they are not too wide.

Life is too short to argue on the Internet!

Would have fit all day long. Weve had that on a sedan here, and he now has 19's. It was a great fit and no issues...even when he dropped it.

Thank you,

265s, in any aspect ratio, would defently be too wide for a 7.5" rim. 245s would be the limit.

The offset is too high (IMHO) and will tuck the wheels in too close.
I am not sure what works on the sedan, but on the coupe 20 (f) and 25(r) offsets work perfect.
