Brake Dust on 6spd

Just wanna check with the 6spd owners how's the dusting for the front and rear. I have the sedan also and the front used to dust up the wheels 3-4 times faster than the rear. Would like to know from 6spd coupe owners if this is also the case with the Brembos. Thanks.

Have you been on a deserted island for the past 6 months? Just kidding.

The brake dust is horrendous on the 6spd coupes. Mine is made worse by the fact I have polished lip wheels and they just magnify the dust. I plan on replacing the pads. These pads simply SUCK. And ridiculous and unacceptable in my opinion for a street oriented vehicle. It's at the point of absurdity for me...I actually carry a bucket and wheel wash mitt on days I drive my car to work and spend 15 minutes washing the crap off of the wheels. Call me ****....

It isn't too bad for me. I have chromes with the brembos and I give them a wipe every 3 days or so with a t-shirt which takes a total of 5 min. I could go about a week without cleaning and they still look good.

Re: Brake Dust on 6spd

any of you guys try the Armoral Wheel Cleaner stuff that you spray on, leave for 60 seconds, then hose off with cool water. I tried it the other day, stuff really washed the dust off without having to get in there and scrub it with a towel. Saves time.

Doesn't it wash off the tire shine stuff when you hose it off?

Is the dusting worse in the front?

I think the dusting is about the same front and rear. I could be wrong. I guess I feel the they are the same since both are bad to begin with.

Re: Brake Dust on 6spd

The pads are terribnle on 6mt and 5at, dont wait just get new pads. I noticed a lot of other coupes especially mercedes and mbw with the same exact problem. And most of those people dont seem to do anything about it, to the point that it almost looks black.
