you shouldnt have to do this you can just replace the rubber valve stem with the tire pressure sensor/valve stem setup

It depends on the particular wheel, the sensors sometimes don't mount at the right angle, and will get damaged when the tire is mounted

That's correct. Based on where my current valve stem is located on the new wheel, there's no way of installing it using the valve stem hole and being able to mount the tires. It may work for some wheels but unfortunately not with the ones I'm getting.
