Janik...I think we should get as many cars as possible and have one huge cruise. Its about a 2 hr drive down to winona so about a 4 hour trip of driving. There's MANY places we can eat 'n such too....sounds like a plan to me!

oh, and does that mean you're in for the meet Janik? lol...I'll add ya to the list!

I posted on the Z forum as well...but they have a cruise scheduled for August 1st starting at Dave's already for just Z's...I haven't started a forum for our meet though.

I don't know why that made me smile.

I might be down for the cruise if it's within the Twin Cities.

I guess Winona is not part of it. I was hoping for a different route. That area is a great place for a cruise, but the drive back on 52 into the cities gets old and crowded.

Gotta avoid those state troopers...

I was thinking of driving around some lake parks, maybe some really nice roads like Bass Lake south of 494.

what if we do a cruise down to winona on WI side...then come back up 61 and take the route you had layed out through the back roads that we took to Redwing??? Would that work Dave?? Or we don't even have to go that south...maybe down to Redwing on WI side and come back?

Razzi, its pretty scenic, and the twisty roads are fun. If your FWD keeps you going round the corners

Let's put me down as 80% for this. My mom's Bday is the same week and I'm not sure if we're celebrating it on Sat. or Sun.

So is thise a side road of hwy61 to Winona? Or is this just gonna be a chill cruise hwy61 directly to winona? The WI side has more twisties if you're just cruising directly in my opinion. But, I can't make it anyhow haha

So... this sounds very interesting to attend but the problem is that I might be going on a business trip starting either Sunday or Monday! If Monday, then I'll be in .

It sounds like its a fairly short cruise (4 or 5 hours) right? I know you guys have already gave some ideas as to how the route would be layed out but you refer to old routes that i'm unfamiliar with! I guess what i'm asking is where are those routes?!?!

I'd agree. I've taken both routes MANY times while I was still living in Winona. Its still undecided how south we want to go. We may just take WI side down to Nelson/Wabasha crossover..then head down to the twisties again..OR the open road that Dave had mapped on the way TO Redwing that everyone was cruisin doing 140ish??
