Aftermarket Radio in Stock Dash

Aftermarket Radio in Stock Dash
So basically here's what I want to do. I want to replace the stock radio with an aftermarket single din radio, a Kenwood KDC-BT365U to be exact, BUT I want to keep my stock factory dash kit/trim.
I know most people go double din so they need a dash kit (metra/JDM) to do so, but I wanna keep it simple and just put a new single din in. So, does anyone know if this is possible at all or simply not possible without an aftermarket dash kit?
I'm all for using adapters or doing slight modifications to the stock dash kit too, just as long as I can keep it.

Only difference between double and single is what you do with the extra DIN-sized opening there will be around the radio. If you mount the radio in the glovebox, you can keep the factory trim, but you'll still need the JDM a/c controller.
