New to the drag scene

Hey wats up guys ive had my G for almost a year now its an 04x with not many mods. My friend has a a lot of land and he has a huge strip of track that is either just under or just over a 1/4 mile. Anyhow he has an 07 TL and i go up there once a month or so and do a few runs. All the races are real close but dang those TL's have some Top end. What i came here to ask is whats the best way to launch an AT X?

The Xs are just kinda slow up top. Brake tq your car off the launch. I've walked a few TLs with mine, and a couple of Xs up top.

Don't do it for more than a few seconds. Sitting there for a minute on stall is maybe not the best, Hahah. Neutral dropping is what kills trannys though. Avoid that at all costs.

As far as I know when you apply the brake and the throttle at the same time the throttle will not open as a function of the VDC please correct me if I am wrong

Try it, the throttle is still opened, but it's delayed/not opened fully off the line. However, it is more effective that just punching it from a stop. I think DaveB noticed a .2-.3 second difference in the 1/4mi between tq braking and flooring it from a dead stop.
