Warranty Opinion (Wrong Expiration Date)
Hello all...
I browse these boards quite a bit, but just created a username.
I am having a problem because my car has come under the spell of the oil consumption issue.
My receipt says that my warranty (Wrap Plan) expires at 100K miles or 2016. But the dealership is saying that my warranty expired, because the wrap plan starts when the car hit the street. (2006). I purchased the car in 2009, and the finance guy sold me this warranty stating the 84 months. And he even worked the paperwork that way. (attached)
But they are telling me that he made a mistake, and that I am not covered....
Because they said it clearly states for the Wrap Plan that it starts at the manufacturers date, not date of purchase.... But I said that it also states 2016 to which our signatures both showed agreement... And they are still telling me "their hands are tied". (only talked to service manager at the moment)
This was 5 years ago when I bought this car with 19,883 miles on it. If I would have purchased the 72months/82K miles... I would still be covered!!! (car has 96,000 miles now)
What ammo do you think I have?
-Warranty clearly states 2016 expiration. (attached)
-They did not charge me to start the oil consumption test.
My dip sticked measurement was within the fail range for 1,000 miles on the 2010 TSB... (16mm)
I hate being an *** to them and then leaving an engine replacement in their hands...
So I am trying to do this as professional as possible...
Thanks for any help/suggestions...
