$300 dollars for a key?

Anyone know a better way to get a key made?

Do I really need a key to get a key?

Infiniti or Nissan wants me to drive an hour and a half to get a key that is $250-$300.

Is there an easier way to get this done, they said no faxing information or nothing just go.

I have the remote for the key, so it seems like the key would start the car if Wal-Mart did it.

It is a G35 Coupe 03-04, the car is fourteen years old,

Thanks I would have financed a Lamborghini if I knew this.

I had a transponder key cut and programmed at my local swap meet for $60. Its a generic key but works the same.

A few years ago, I bought a replacement key/fob from eBay with logo. You need to match the numbers up on the FOB. I had Infiniti or Nissan cut and program it for me and I think it was like 100 bucks. The key cost me like 30-60 if I remember right. You can get a locksmith to do it with the right equipment though.

I bought 2 infinity transponder blank keys for $19 shipped and had a local locksmith cut and program for $40. Small business owners have much less overhead and can cut some serious deals. Granted you need to find one that knows what they are doing, but that shouldn't be too hard.
