Plastidip isn't dramatically cheaper when you don't pay for labor and don't necessarily use 3M, but its still a rubber coat. Ive used it for spoilers, emblems, grilles, and even wheels, but I would never dip a daily driver. Its a complete bitch to keep clean off fingerprints and water spots.

I like this clearcoat over vinyl idea though. Might even do it.

Finished the trunk yesterday. Came out flawless. Would've been much quicker if I removed the spoiler... now just waiting for the main roll.

Those look awesome with the clear coat man. I like the texture of the 3M CF, but this makes it look even closer to actual CF. Nice job.

Thank you. While its not 3M, I'll still do it once I get the chance.

Why dont you remove bumper to wrap it? Seems it would be much easier and better looking final product.

PS
Please kills those wheels with fire.

At this point I wish I did remove it. It was a bitch to get to and the bottom didn't come out well. I like my wheels...

Those MRR wheels look nice in person, decent quality wheel too for the price.
As far as the bumper I've heard it's best to run it up some ramps to elevate the bumper. Wrapping it off the car would be hard because the bumper would always be flexing all over the place. If you've ever taken your bumper off it's like jellow compared to being firmly mounted.

They do look nice. Next one up is full side, qp and both doors in one sheet. New challenge.

Got some more done. Only 2 sessions left! I'll do rear bumper, rocker panels, spoiler, and mirrors on Monday, then as soon as my door is fixed I'll hit the other 2 doors and qp at once and in done! Then onto interior!

I thought you do the doors separately so you can wrap into the jambs? At any rate, looks like it's coming together pretty well. Nice that you have a lift for doing this project

Either way you can. I don't care about the jams because this is probably temporary. And that was the first time it was available.

I ended up not using any primer and almost no sealer.
