transmission fluid filter

Is it true that infiniti or g35 coupe don't have transmission fluid filters? The service manager says the cars don't come with them while his tech says infiniti have a lifetime filter. Who's right?

It is true that the G35 does not have a "serviceable" filter. Just like the sock filter in the the gas tank, it's really not something that is supposed to be removed to be cleaned. With that said, you can add an in-line filter. You will need a 5/16" transmission oil filter. I have a few here, let me know if you want one.

Transmission uses a screen not filter. Screen can be cleaned if not deformed from bottoming out trans pan.

Do not install an inline filter without adjusting line pressures. Nissan transmissions are sensitive to line pressure drops.

Thanks. Just had my transmission fluid flushed and wondered if they were just bs me. Also said my front bushings were blown because the black rubber is ripped and quoted upwards of 300 to replace with labor.

You can add an external Amsoil filter right before the fluid enters the radiator. What bushings are messed up?

The ones part of the front wheels control arm and suspension system. Little cylindrical thing maybe size a small tangerine. Don't know how best to describe it. It's job they say is to cushion n keep my wheels straight but allows flex when I hit bumps or dips. I guess going by dealer hours it's gonna be $300 but in reality prob less than 1hr to do the job.
