Leftlane News The new G coupe will arrive in showrooms in june of this year and will be called the G37. Horsepower is rated at 330+ from Nissan new engine VQ37HR. Car should sprint from 0-60 in about 5 seconds flat. Most options from the new 2007 G35 sedan will be available on the coupe. With the way infiniti is going with this car its setting the benchmark on perfomance, style, and luxury.
Key features will be adaptive bi-xenon headlights, LED tailights, Review camara for reversing. realtime traffic , an improved navagation system, infiniti studio on wheels and a built in hard drive to store music, and a much improved interior which the car lacked on the previous G35. Price should be about 36k-38k. With a lot of competition out there for example the bmw 335i and the Is 350 and soon the new C- class from mercedes lets hope the new G delievers like the previous generation. Its not known yet but its rumored that nissan might be making a turbo on the G37 as a competition to the New M3 and the new IS 500. With an engine called VQ37HRTT.
There you go

Call me **** but its hard for me to accept info from a source that cannot spell navigation correctly, also the new coupe is already referred to as the "G Coupe" without any number behind it.

This statement alone tells me that this is just more rumor-perpetuation based on no new facts:
Its not known yet but its rumored that nissan might be making a turbo on the G37 as a competition to the New M3 and the new IS 500. With an engine called VQ37HRTT.
It has been known for years that Nissan's GT-R fits into the M3/IS-F market segment, and it's likely that the GT-R will have a turbo'd VQ-variant engine.

This site offers nothing new.

This is the info from the article on Leftlane News:

"Nissan has released a design sketch of the 2008 Infiniti G35 Coupe, which is expected to be unveiled during or before the New York Auto Show in April.

The new G35 coupe will arrive in showrooms later this year, roughly one year after the 2007 G35 sedan became available. Clearly derived from the Infiniti Coupe Concept — first shown a year ago in Detroit — the production 2008 G35 coupe also features a number of design cues from the sedan.

It's not known if Nissan has dropped plans for the "G37" name it trademarked early last year, or if the coupe will feature a different engine displacement" than 3.5 liter sedan

I don't know where the rest of that came from.

I wonder how much of this makes sense. The turbo version to compete with the M3/IS-F seems weird, since the GT-R is rumored to be in the 70k range (same as the M3). Why have two cars to compete in that segment?

My prediction: '08 G35 coupe will have the same engine as the sedan to compete with c-class, 3-series, IS. GT-R will compete with M3. Two years later we will see a 330+hp G37. We'll see!

the GT-R will be more expensive, its actually in a segment above the M3.. its benchmarked after the 911 turbo and will be in the Z06, 911 pricing segment.
i totally agree with you about the rumor part

5 flat? Unless the new G weights less than 3200lbs and has 350hp I don't see how that's going to happen. If I had to make a baseless speculation I'd say G37, 330hp and later increase to 350hp after the new VK45 comes out. (which better has 380hp+)

Yeah but who would buy one if you can get a G35 coupe with the same motor?

im pretty certain the GT-R engine will have much stronger internals and probably lower compression rate to handle the boost from the twin turbos vs the regular G35 engine

Well, the 07 Sedan has been clocked at 5.2, so I think 5 flat for a 330 HP G37 is definitely possible.
