Looks good to me, I'm in for a set when you start manufacturing! That is if this still going to happen?

Yeah, the design has been finished for over two weeks, and I'm waiting for my friend with shop access to machine the aluminum master for the mold. His shop had a backlog, and since I'm getting it done almost for free, it's being pushed to the bottom of their work list. Hopefully it'll be done next week.

Once the master is finished, it'll take us a few days to make the silicone mold, and a day to cast the first piece. Figure one add'l week. If everything looks good, I'll start "mass production."

Just wanted to post a quick update. The master has finally been machined, and we started working on the mold. I won't have time to spend on it until the weekend, but we are making steady, if slow, progress.

OK, folks, I've been teasing you all long enough -- thanks for your interest and encouragement, and for your patience!

We finished the mold over the weekend, and finally cast the first set today. Not that it was a surprise , but the parts turned out really well! Here are some pics.

I didn't want to throw out arbitrary pricing, without knowing what it would actually cost to make these pads in both materials and labor. So here you go:

2 pads -- $45 shipped (within Continental US)
4 pads -- $75 shipped (within Continental US)

I realize that these parts are not exactly cheap, but they are custom-made one at a time. And you won't be disappointed with the fit or functionality (I hope).

Just a reminder -- these pads were specifically designed for Harbor Freight jack stands. At least the stands are cheap, right? Not that they wouldn't necessarily work with other stands, but I have no idea what the stress distribution would be, which could possibly lead to pad damage.

I will set up a separate PayPal account for this shortly, but in the meantime, let me know again how many you'd want.

Alex

So now that everything is up and running, are you just straight up taking orders or is this a group buy thing? I am interested.

Sorry for the delayed response -- business travel just keeps getting in the way of the fun stuff.

I'm now taking orders -- no need to wait for a minimum quantity. I'm casting these pads one at a time, so it's actually easier to spread it out a little bit. Just let me know if you'd like 2 or 4, and send me the PayPal payment (address above).

4 pads -- $75 shipped (within Continental US)

Thanks,
Alex

Could someone give the dimension of the harbor Freight jack stands where it would meet with the adapters.

Yeah, I recently made several sets, and they are ready to ship. I just replied to your e-mail with details.

Sorry for not responding to the PMs sooner -- I didn't have the PM notification flag set, and didn't realize I had messages. I've just responded to all PMs.

Flipper, I have a Nismo 370Z now but Nissan still uses the same jack points (on the pinch seam) like they did on the G35C I had. I alreday have jack stands with heads that look similar to yours. Can you PM or post some dimentions of the stands you use or the pads so I can see it will work with the stands I have? I'd be happy to throw them on the 370 forums if it works out.

Thanks in advance.
