Eighteen pages about where to place your jack stands? Seriously? Using a floor jack and jack stands isn't rocket science, mostly common sense. I use my sub frame as jacking points and place my jackstands close by!

this thread is quite entertaining jus read through it all. I kno this is a very old thread but so the guy made some adapters for jack stands with high "Y" shaped arches that don't even make contact with the pinch welds and sold them for almost $50 a piece?

that's insane, I can see its use if the jack stand was "U" shaped with a very low arch then itll bend the pinch welds. but that doesn't seem to be the case here lol. or am I missing something?. also for $15 u can buy grip floor jack saddle adapters to fit the pinch welds to be used with the floor jack.

Nothing like depending for support of your life by a piece of wood rated at 600psi.

Please use proper lift tools kids.

Well that was to lift the car. My stands are almost flat and I put them on a flat piece close to center and didn't see any issues. Its just a tad lower than usual.. I'm def gonna get a lower profile jack though.
