Not yet, but I'm thinking of making one. Basically, a tall hockey puck with a slot, or two orthogonal slots. I modified a jack pad I found online for my own use, but by the time I was done, it would've been easier to make my own from scratch.

All G35 and G37 cars I've seen have 'pockets' in the sideskirts, precisely so you could support the car without damaging them. In fact, I sized the width of my stand adapters so they'd fit these pockets.

Flipper I don't think my ings sideskirts have these pockets that you speak of. I was asking about aftermarket sides and not the factory ones.

The short answer is "I don't know, it depends." If the pad fits under the lip so that there is only body-on-pad contact, then it will work. If the weight will be on the sideskirt, then it wont -- not without damage to the sideskirt. You'll just have to go outside and look at your car.

Just got a really nice new floor jack. I think I'm going to buy some hockey pucks and just drill out a slot so it will slip on the pinch weld and rest on the floor jack. Anyone make these jack adapters yet. I'll take a set of stand adapters

Will the JACK STAND adapters fit these aluminum stands from Harbor Freight. These stands seem to be very flat, and not as deep as the others listed in the thread. ALSO, are there FLOOR JACK adapters available. http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...nds-91760.html

I have those same jack stands. I have a sedan though but I don't think that should matter. I'd be interested as well.

A coupe or a sedan won't matter, but I'm not sure about the saddle curvature of aluminum stands vs. steel. These adapters can be made a bit flatter by using a file or a Dremel tool, but if you remove too much material under the slot, it could compromise the strength.

Here I was trying to keep the cost down, and we have all these wealthy guys buying aluminum stands...

The jack stands are only $30 I wasn't sure either since sometimes harbor freight stuff can be a bit cheap but they seem sturdy. I'll find out this week when I actually use them.

If you want, I can take a bunch of pictures of the stands so you can get a better idea.

Thanks, but what I really need are the measurements. It would be easier to just stop by the local HF, and compare steel and aluminum stand saddles side by side. I'll do that tomorrow.

I finally managed to stop by the HF store today, to check out their aluminum jack stands. They have very shallow saddles, much flatter than the 3-ton and 6-ton steel stands. Unfortunately, my adapters won't work with them, or at least won't work well.

As has been mentioned in this thread, in addition to HF, there are several other stands that do work, with similar saddles.

A month or two I bought a set of these jack stand pads for my '08 G35. They work great! Thanks!

These are the ones I have that you probably saw:

http://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-a...nds-91760.html

Anyway you could fab something for that? I'd be very interested.

I've had the car up before but it just doesn't look perfectly snug since there is no adapter.

Yes, that's them.

Given enough time, effort and money, everything can be fabricated. But it would be much cheaper for you to buy a set of steel stands for $15 -- HF routinely has them on sale.

I don't blame you for not being comfortable supporting the car without a proper fit. That was the reason I made these for myself and a couple of friends in the first place, and figured others could use them as well.
