Who says the Sedan doesn't get any Lovin?
Yeah, it doesn't appear that the XYZ pipe will fit, at least not with some extensions. I would be willing to do a test fit on an 04, depending on Tony, but I doubt it will fit.
Stinks, but I'd much rather have AWD than an aftermarket Y Pipe, especially in upstate NY.

Price same as Z guys? Will it come with a dual tip option, I dont really care if it does, but i know this question will come up
From the pictures and discussions I have had with the mechanic thus far the VQ system is not fitting on my car as seen in the pictures from me earlier. This is quite possibly attributed to the y-pipes on 04's being different from 06's. If anyone knows anymore about the y-pipe differences and could add to this that would certainly help
Please expand on this...
04 and 06 y-pipes are diffrent. the 04.5 - 06 have a Y-pipe similiar to the HR pipe but not exactly. the Y on the 03-04 the top 2 peices are a lot shorter, the 04.5- 06 in the Y the top 2 peices are longer. your picture shows the top 2 meeting right after the transfer case. But in the end it shouldn't matter in terms of a catback since the total length is exactly the same.
Its very clear how the Y is hitting the t-case because of the where the top 2 peices meet is a lot closer then the stock Y.
But in terms of a exhaust system thats after the Y, it should be the same length, only thing that i can see that could be the reason is the position of the shafts due to the transfer case being where it is the drive shaft is in a diffrence place so it can hit or block the exhaust pipe.
the stillen system is the only system that is proven to work on the AWD models AFAIK.
this is what I see with the different Y-pipes...
my ride had the old school short y-pipe.. the dealer installed the "HR lookalike" Y-pipe without the pucks.. I DID notice a deeper, louder sound, been very happy with it in combination with all the other intake/exhaust mods. Bums me out that the XYZ pipe has issues with the X
From the pics.. the X Y-pipe looks identical to the Z HR Y-pipe... the G37 Y-pipe DEFINITELY is different.. the pipes are even thinner, verified by another member on a previous post.

07 Z HR Y-pipe

G35x Y-pipe

08 G37 Y-pipe

The first two are exactly the same length.. DaveB and I are running the same cat-back OEM exhaust setup, with the exception of the version of Y-pipe... they were both direct bolt-on, no clearance issues or modifications required what so ever! only difference is one has the vibration pucks.. and the other doesn't.

In order to have done that 5" additions to either side of the Y to get around the transfer case. If you did not if you could provide pics that would help all others. The motordyne vq exhaust will fit with a spacer, I do not have exact measurements for the length however.
Yeah, pics are needed, as I don't see how it will fit.
its not your word we dont take, its just pictures > your word as of now. You can obviously see how actual pictures can overrule what anyone says.

Just playin, I hope there are.
