NRG custom polished PS tank

i have a NRG power steering tank and had it custom polished and all brackets chromed ..

i also have connectors from earls as well under the can that will come with it ...

this can will not work on the sedans for some reason .. a few guys tried it on the AT sedans and didnt work.. we thought we could get it to work on a 6mt sedan with ps cooler but im still getting noises and dont have time to mess with it ...

the tank doesnt have more then 50 miles on it and still looks great !!!!

150 shipped for the can since i paid extra for it to be polished and paid 25 bucks for the connectors

the tank is still on the car but i don't DD the car... i will have it off and shipped out saturday the latest ...

also have a BNIB weapon r coolant tank that matches the can f/s but it will be in the coolant section

here are the connectors in the picture but the bigger one i replaced with a 90º connector so it fit the hose better without a crazy bend

here are some pictures installed on my car ...

Chris is right, for some reason the revised NRG tank won't work on Sedans. Chris is the third to try (1st 6MT which we thought may have been the issue given that 5AT Sedans don't have a PS cooler) with no luck. I have seen the exact same NRG tank that didn't work on a Sedan work on a Coupe with no issues, so you Coupe guys should be fine. GLWS Chris.

So from a mechanic background I don't see why a resevoir would act different between the coupes and sedans. Are the factory ones different?

I been driving my car for 3 days and its still mKing noise .. it sounds like the pump is straining with my 9.5/10.5 wheels.. making turns driving is ok but once I pull in my garage it gets loud. And when I drive you can hear it pump. im done playing with the tank and time for seans tanks ..

Iv talked to both Gabe and kenny and they told me the can is doing just about the same thing as it did on their sedans ...

Do you have enough fluid in the tank chris? when i had the weapon r tank if i didnt have it filled it would make noise. Only difference i see in the nrg and weapon are to oem are that they arent vented. Not sure if that would cause any problems

i agree with Sean and Chris in the other threads. Sounds like a flow/baffle issue.

Fluid is good in the tank ... it has a air release in the threads. So when the can gets pressure it releases the air .. if tank is filled and once gets to much pressure it starts to leak out where the hole is ... I have it to where it doesn't leak anything now but still wines when I drive and sounds like a super charger ..
