FS: Navigation Retrofit with Touchscreen

Navigation Retrofit with Touchscreen
NOTE: I should also mention that if you do not want to install a laptop to this, you can hook this up to a seperate DVD player and/or back-up camera...something you cannot do with the OEM screen unit.
Also, this unit slides up and retracts at the push of the button on top of the screen, just like OEM.
My CarPc project must come to an end as I need the cash and may have to sell my car.
I'm selling the Navigation chassis from an 06 Coupe...I removed the OEM screen and installed a Xenarc Touchscreen TFT LCD Monitor, model 700TS.
What this allows you to do now is to hook it up to a laptop (or CarPC) and run your laptop right from your touchscreen (install a Navigation program on the laptop or even a front-end such as RoadRunner).
The only issue I had with this is that the screen does not close all the way (probably sits about 1/4 inch above the closed position) and this is only due to the thickness of the wire...if you are good at soldering, then you can probably cut and solder the wires back together so that it sits flush.
The controls for the touchscreen are at the top, in the back of the screen (simply place a piece of black tape over the cut-out to hide this...you will still have access to the 5 buttons).
I would prefer to sell the whole unit together for $450...if you only want the OEM Nav chassis without the touchscreen, then I will sell this to you for $200.
I am also selling the NAV Control Unit (on another post for $200) which will fill in the gap that's left when you replace this chassis with the cubby-type chassis you currently have.
Send me your zip/postal code and I will calculate the shipping cost.

Yes...just need to ensure the connector has IGN, BAT, NEG, ACC wires connected to it and it will lift up and also close up at the touch of the button on top of the screen (just like OEM)...I'm hoping to hook this up on my bench again and take a short film of this so that you can all see it in action.

This is not the OEM screen...I removed the OEM screen and replaced it with a Xenarc touchscreen.
This allows you to hook it up to a laptop and/or DVD player and/or back-up camera.

I hope to have this done on the weekend...

Hopefully I will be able to fit this screen just fine since it is also a 7" and since it is not touch the wires are much thinner.
You took the Xenarc screen out of its plastic shell to make it fit correct?

Yes, but that doesn't mean your screen will fit the OEM shell...you have to take your screen apart and fit it into the OEM shell, but there's no guarantee that your screen will fit this...I was patient enough and made sure it fit
