Re: does anyone have pics of subs in their coupe
ericinmia....i dunno if thats such a good idea..if u put one on each side facing each other, its going to defeat the purpose of having two...face them both in the same direction, so the sound waves hit off something other than the other speakers waves....

Yeah they are going to be angled up and out like 115 degrees, back toward the center of the trunk so it should be good i think?
I am still working on the design....

Here's a pic of Robert's setup. He's co-president of the D/FW G35 club...also known as theeggman1 on fresh alloy.

Let's just say that his whole stereo system cost more than his ATI Procharger.

NO....thats BS. My last car was an Avalanche. I had 4 twelves set up where the midgate is supposed to be. Very VERY professional quality. My friend and I did it all for less than $400. It all depends though. If you are as good as my friend is, then you can do it....otherwise I had car audio shops quoting me in the thousands.

How in the world can you call BS on me? This guy is a friend of mine. He's got 2 sets of Focal components, JL amps, Kicker subs, satellite radio, dynamatted his whole car, LED bars all over, Phoenix Gold powercore cap, PG EQ, and a slew of other little things. Everything cost total w/ install about $10k. If you saw the extent of the install, tuning, and workmanship you would understand the price. The enclosure is pretty complex being ported w/ false floor, painted, custom vinyl to match our interior, custom fans, plexiglass w/ LEDs surrounding the amps.
I just don't see how in the heck you can call BS on me. Yeah for $400 you can do it. But sounds like you and your friend did the install so that would reduce costs. Robert took it to a shop and had it done, so he had to pay for labor (install took about a week).
So yes $10,000 stereo is more than $6000 for his procharger installed. How is that BS?

Re: does anyone have pics of subs in their coupe
yeah but the main question is..
is it really that important to have a $10,000.00 stereo system? I would rather have a home theater system, where my family and friends could sit and watch the game or something. But what justifies a system in your car like that/ Sure its something different, Sure it will sound great, but is it practical? the answer is no

It might be impractical to you, but you don't know about others and their situation. He may already have a slammin home theater setup. He may also be a hardcore audiophile. Not something I would do, but I got to give props to those that can afford it. Sort of like owning a porche. Not the most practical car, but there are a buttload of them around.

I have spent the past 5 years building a 15+ grand home stereo system....
Now when i leave home and hop in the coupe, which i drive for a good portion of my day (Miami Traffic) i end up with the crap bose system....!
I am planning on putting about 4-5 Grand into my audio system which to me is practical!
