I have mine on the rear-deck over the child seat anchor and I have no problems....
Tint can DEFINITELY cause problems people have tested it. It depends on the type of tint. Tint with any metallic in it will cause problems. I also put a 18ga metal plate beneath mine to increase the signal strength.
Playboy channel on Sirius doesn't cost extra?????
Edit: Sure enough you can add it for free; they even let you do it online; go figure it must be fairly new....

I have my Sirius antenna on the rear deck but on the driver's side - in the spot where a child seat anchor used to be. I think having it on the driver's side is better because given we usually drive on the right side of the road in the US, trees are more likely to be on our right than our left (w/ another lane of traffic to our left), so that means a greater probability of maintaining line of sight w/ the satellite.
