Navi Help
I want to remove the stock DVD Rom does anyone know how hard it is to remove and does anyone know if the factory screen has normal RCA video jacks?
Thanks

The stock DVD Rom is actually the stock navi system. Without the rom the navi system will not function at all.
The OEM screen is a RGB/S signal. You can get adapters to turn it in to a normal yellow video plug.

right now I dont care about the Navi and I dont have money for the finisher, bracket and A/C controls. I have a pioneer dvh-5000mp already and 2 sets Infinity Kappas 6.5 Comp for it from my last vech. I was just going to put the pioneer were the dvd-rom is.
How hard is it to pull out the DVD- ROM and the console area?

Not to highjack this thread, but I was looking into getting that deck for my 04 g35. It looks like it wasn't meant to fit in that single din slot. Did you have to modify it to accept that deck? Is that how all single dins look on our cars?

no no you are way off here. Both units that have been mentioned in this thread allow you to connect virtually any external video source (IE: a DVD player) to your stock screen. Very simple.

The TVandNav2Go is not a DVD player... it is the adapter you are looking for. That's all it is, an adapter. It's not a DVD player, it's not a navigation unit, it's not a TV tuner.... It has an RGB output plug on one side and an RCA composite video input on the other... actually I believe it has two inputs. They also have Infiniti-specific adapters that you can use so that no cutting is necessary. All of this info is available on the website linked above, which I don't think you've looked at...
