Alright, Frankly I'm confused (and feel stupid for being that way). My first mistake was *****uming that my g35 coupoe had the modulator for the XM already in it.. .meaning I thought all I had to have was an antenna... well I was wrong . I went out and bought the antenna and found out that the harness was not obviously not compatible with the wiring harness you guys showed me in a picture.. which of course made me think that I was going about this all wrong.. so I went and read up even more on it and found out that everyone was buying their kits from grubbs infiniti.. well... What is it they give you? Just a special infiniti XM modulator that plugs straight into that white harness... or do they just sell you XM commander (universal sat radio receiver) and an antenna for 299....? Cuz if all they are going to sell me is the XM Commander & an antenna, then I need to get it from somewhere else... but if they are selling me a special infiniti part ... then I'll have to spring the extra cash :P... anyone care to clarify to someone just a wee bit confused :P<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small"><EM>Edited by shade73 on 10/09/03 06:54 PM.</EM></FONT></P>

 

There is an Infiniti part that plugs into the existing wiring harness and runs off the SAT button on the head unit, and does not use an FM modulator. However, to make things confusing, some G35's are NOT satellite-ready even with the SAT button on the radio.. the wiring harness is missing. Search the related topics, there's some discussion as to how to tell if you've got the harness or not. The harness in question is available from Grubbs, I hear it's a pain to install.

You could always go with a universal unit, but then it wouldn't be integrated with the head unit's controls.
