Driveability with AC Controller Removed
So I'm doing the double din conversion this weekend. I'm also installing a Pioneer AVH-6800DVD, a Pac TR-7, a SWI-X, running a set of RCA cables to the trunk, putting new spacer rings in my doors and cleaning up some door wiring.
Ernesto the impotent windstorm is bringing rain onto my audio parade this weekend as well, however I have secured a garage from 8:30AM Saturday morning till abou 4PM Saturday afternoon. After which point, I have to leave the garage no matter what the state of my car is in.
My question is, will the car function (and not tick off the airbag, security system, fuses, etc) safely if I do not have the AC controller connected?
I *think* the car may default to a specific blower speed and temp if this is the case, is that true? And are their any other side effects I should be aware of?
Thanks!

When I was doing an install on a Z, I disconnected the AC controller and drove without it for a while. Had no ill effects. It just put the blower on at a constant speed. I know it's not a G, but they are very similar.
I drove around with my whole center console out for 3 days while getting my double din installed. No issues, but make sure you set it to auto and a good temp, not too high or low, because it will be stuck there. I had mine set too low, and was freezing the whole time.

LOL, same boat here. The ECU goes into "OMG, someone stole yo dashboard" mode and thinks you might need everything on at once. But no worries, the car is drivable, I did if for a few days while DD-converting
