Since the Fin Antenna fits through the roof you have to run your cord through the side quarter panel. Thats the easy part. The only time consuming part about this mod was the cord. But im very glad I did now.
So how long of a cord does the fin come with? I'm surprised you get good reception after splicing a wire like that together!

lol thats the funny part, the antenna only comes with the 6 inch cord attached to it. Which I assumed I could use the existing wire from the other antenna. WRONG! I went back and ordered the harness because the parts guy said it LOOKED long enough to him on the screen. Well it wasn't at all. So I went to Radio Shack of all places and bought a home antenna and cut the end off. Then I bought a connector from the clerk and he was even nice enough to install it on my wire I just bought. Thats it! Works very well and it doesn't shut off in the garage or underpasses.
