Home Much Can Extra Battery Post Run?

On the positive side of the battery on my G there is an extra unused terminal post. Very convenient. Only problem I can see is that this terminal seems to have a fusable link connecting it to the battery. This link does not look as easy to change as a normal fuse. I resisted the temptation to hook my 4 Gauge amp wiring kit to this terminal (I hooked this to the other, already used post that does not seem to have a link), but I have a couple of lesser amperage items (dvd player, AV controller, LCDs and most draw of all, the AC converter for the PS2) that would be very convenient to hook up there. Three of these four items draw very little; however the AV converter could concievably pull as much as 30 amps, but probably less than 10 amps with just the PS2 hooked up. Anyone know how much extra amperage is available on this spare post without blowing the fusable link? Is it safe to hook up 35 amps (that would be peak; more like 12 amps on any steady draw) worth of stuff here?

Re: Home Much Can Extra Battery Post Run?

I ran a seperate 4 gauge wire to the battery to power everything. Used a stinger 2 post connector so my factory power connector hooks to the stinger post right next to the 4 gauge I installed.
