Alternator going bad
I have a 03' coupe and i had recently noticed that it almost seemed like the car was straining to start up as of late. I went about a week without driving it and when i went to start it up the battery was dead. I did not recall leaving any lights on and when I approached the car there were no lights on anything of that nature. I jump started it and everything seemed ok. I took it over to the local auto parts store and had them test the battery. He stated that the battery was at a low state of charge which was understandable since i just jumped the car to start it. He did note that as I was reving the engine that he noticed a ripple effect, stating this was indicative of the alternator starting to go bad.
I do have a single 10" sub, nothing major, I would have to look at the amp to get all the specs and stuff, but it is nothing major. The car is under warranty, and I am going to take it in to be looked at, but I was curious as to weather or not you think the dealership would try to blame the alternator starting to fade on the fact that i have the sub in the back.
I would not think that they would be as petty to try and short me on the warranty for something so small, but you never know. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

I'm having issues with my car starting (https://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119964). I had it fixed for like 2 days and then the problem came back. I'm interested in what your dealer says. Keep us posted.

Anything can happen, but I don't think they will blame it on the amp. How many watts is the amp rated? Do you have the Bose system? If you don't and your amp isn't a megawatt amp, then you can just say that the amp takes up as much power as the factory bose amp so there's no way that you were going wildly out of specs of the alternator.

I replaced the battery and everything seems to be fine. I went back to autozone and did the electrical testing and they said everything was fine. I think i will steal have the dealer take a look when I take it in.
Is it just me or is the battery a B!tch to replace. I took the cover of and everything but it wasn't the easiest thing to get out.
