Time to upgrade
I just got satelite radio and a couple of infinity subs(10s). I want to retain the stock head unit(yes i read the sticky, but that is another language to me) what needs to be done? Are there any special parts I need to buy, such as adapters or anything like that I would need to buy. I have 2 phoenix gold amps that are 300x1 each and was just going to put 1 on each sub. They rms 250 watts and max at 1000.
What do you guys reccomend for the door and rear speakers without breaking the bank? Anything special about this install?

acutrally there isnt much difference in parts...
if you ahve bose:
you MUST tap before the bose amp, as it is the bose amp that does most of the Eqing. you will want a lne out converter. Even though that signal is a balanced line, it is very weak, so hoenstly, most good line out converters will be fine (perhaps contrary to whats said in the sticky post above), the main problem at least IMO, with balanced lines is they are very high voltage, so most amps cannot handle it, but the G's balanced line out is so weak its not a big deal. but because its very weak, you rpobably need to turn your amp's gain up quite a bit or get a line driver to boost hte signal
if you DO NOT have bose, also just tap afterthe headunit as well, its a normal unbalanced high voltage output. so any line out converter will be fine
