Dynamat in coupe...how much?

Just wanted to see how much you guys would think is needed to do a coupe. I would be doing my full trunk, rear deck, trunk lid, doors, and maybe even floor of car.

What other brands besides dynamat is good? I've heard that brown bread and RAAMmat are good too.

accumat and edead are also very good. edead can be found at www.edesignaudio.com. Accumat can be read about on www.accumat.com. As far as how much it will cost, that is too hard to determine...it depends on where you go and how much you use. could be in excess of $500 for material cost and labor depending on the specifics of your particular situation.

Re: Dynamat in coupe...how much?

Just dynamatted my sedan rear deck from the top of rear deck and underneath from the trunk and the behind the seats. Used about 7 sheets of dynamat extreme 18x32. I bought a box of dynamat extreme on EBAY which contained 9 sheets for about $100 shipping is about $20.

Sound deadening material. Blocks wind/road noise from making it into the cabin, making the inside of the car quieter, which in turn makes the stereo sound better because it's not competing with external noises.

So does it work? Is the difference noticeable?

Re: Dynamat in coupe...how much?

I haven't used it, but I've read about it a bit. It's supposed to be noticeable and measurable. It does add weight to your car, so if you've got performance gains in mind, think about that as well.

I've also seen it used on computer panels to make a PC be quieter. It'll knock a few decibels off the hum of the fans and hard drives.
