Looking at the Kenwood DDX6019 is this all i need?
Ya thats the ticket. Amplifiers tend to support multiple different loads; 4-ohm, 2-ohm and sometimes even 1-ohm and 0.5-ohm. If you look at the spec sheet for an amp that supports 2-ohm speakers you will see that the power available with 2-ohm speakers is up to twice that as 4-ohm speakers.
Regardless, car audio speakers are standard 4-ohm and only subwoofers will be found at 1-ohm or 0.5-ohm. I don't know of any head units that can drive 2-ohm speakers.

So I went to a shop today looking for some components and they didn't have anything I could hear. They said that I wouldn't hear that much of a difference running new speakers off the HU and recommended an amp.
Can anyone recommend a affordable set of speakers and amp? I've done some searching and all the info is overwhelming.

Ok..did a ton of research today and came up with this combo:
Diamand audo hex components and d6 coaxials and JL audio 300/4 amp.
Looks like I should be able to ebay the whole deal for less than $500. Is there anything else I should consider? Thanks for the help!
