Light Weight Speakers

Anyone upgraded to light weight speakers to loose weight?

I don't care about sound, only listen to talk shows. How much weight on the two big front speakers, none Bose? I've seen very thin speakers for computer use.

The stock speakers don't even weigh one pound combined. The magnets are really small and the cone is a paper material.

all this weight reduction stuff is getting out of control. the car is 3500+ lbs. unless you're gutting it, why worry about losing 8 ounces? i just dont get it. if your that concerned with weight, lose a few inches from your waiste line. hey does anyone have any bald tires they can sell me? looking for some lighter weight tires.

im putting this new lightweight foam in my seats, and perforating the leather a lil more. also, if you dont put all 6 cds in the changer it saves lots of weight to.

^Have you considered using marshmallows instead of foam? They're plenty light.

yeah of course you can...not much savings in weight...

if you are that concerned about weight, remove back and deck speakres, remove bose amp, run new wiring directly from the new headunit to the door speakers, stock...or replace door speaker with some cheap coaxials...

save you about prolly 10 lbs? maybe 8?
