Double din install

i heard its not good to have the dd install if you got the bose system because of the wiring, cause i bought my car used and it does have the bose system in it but i would rather have the pioneer z1 in there, so if anyone knows anything against it, it would be nice to know before i buy it and if you know a place plz let me know, thanx

im in so cal, north of the valley, so if anyone knows any good car audio places that do installs plz tell or if you know a good place to buy the z1 let me know as well, thanx again

who told you this, all you need is to run aftermarket amps and you wont have to worry about some harness

When you switch to the DD kit you bypass the Bose system and use your own deck and amps. That was my first mod.

They might be referring to the special BOSE speakers. You just need an adapter to get around that if you plan on using your stock speakers.

I installed my Z1 and used a PAC-ROEM-NIS2 to hookup to the BOSE speakers/amp. It's been happy with the Z1's signal for almost a year now (and it sounds so much better). I don't get any strange noises or hum with it. Don't let having the BOSE system stop you from enjoying the Z1!

Once I find the link I'll post it. I think it was $35 or something like that.

If you're spending the money on a new head unit you should replace the amp and speakers as well. The Bose amp and speakers are garbage and can be replaced for a few hundred dollars.
