Mounting an amp

Ok so I had my subwoofers installed in my car and I have a question about mounting an amp. I want to move the amp to a different position because right now my box takes up too much room so I was thinking of going with a different box. Where is the best place to mount the amp in the trunk area. I dont want to take out my spare tire or anything like that.

Mine is mounted on top of the Bose amp bracket to the left of the spare tire. You'll have to trim the plastic spacer though. I wanted to retain the ability to fold down the rear seat and not worry about damaging the amp loading things in the passthrough.

+1, thats where mine is mounted as well. About as stealth as you can get, but it only fits pretty small amps there

I removed the Bose amp, but you don't have to. I just didn't want that piece of junk in the car.

Just curious why you didn't remove the bracket as well so you can mount the amp lower and allow for more space for heat dissipation

the amp bracket makes a nice rest and raises the amp off the floor to give a little more clearance without fabricating a new mounting bracket.

Here's a helpful thread to give you an idea. https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=trunk
