I'm not sure whose this is, but I saved it a long time ago. I got a quote on the exact custom, and they said about $1,500. Am I getting ripped off or am I getting a good deal? I'm only going to use one sub, as oppose to this pic's two.

Is that 1500 including the hardware (Amps, Subs,Cap) or is it just the molding of the box??

Good fiberglass work is expensive. With that said you should not pay more than $1000 for that enclosure.

I saw this as well. This is a Hawaii members setup. I remember he said it cost him $350.

 

$1400 is way too much go to another stereo shop or have you ever thought of making it yourself? $200 for supplies =p

 

I wish i could do it myself, I can't even draw a straight line. :-(

sound advice (rips people off) even quoted me an enitre fiberglass tubed trunk with two fiberglass enclosures for 2 12w6v2's one pers side, and a fiber top with plexi to see amps, and all wiring etc. for $2000 flat rate! and they said they could work with it... so yeah your getting ripped off!
oh and it includes the silver painting to match car!

Nice, I dropped mine in the spare tire well. If I ever go on a trip I just throw the tire in the trunk.

 

Sound Advice charges 400 just to install a system into a car, no way you could get custom fiberglass for 400.
