I was just curious how many people own radar detectors. Do you guys put the detector away when you park your car somewhere? Do people ever have problem with theft?

 

I have a Passport 8500 and love it! I always leave it attached to the windshield and have never had a problem.

I'm currently evaluating various ones to which one I want to purchase. I'm leaning towards an integrated one that doesn't need to be put away because it's wired into the car [similar to an alarm system] so the brain is always concealed.

 

owned both v1 and x50, cant go wrong with either. Personally prefer the V1. Just bought another v1 for the other car.

 

V1. how do you have one and not use it? turn it off? seems like a waste.

 

Had a V1...until the car was stolen and stripped.

My V1 actually saved me this morning! hahah... motorcycle speed trap. When I park I usually just put it in my nav. pocket, seeing as I don't have navigation.

 

I have an X50 and it is always on. If I am parking in a questionable area (such as a sporting event, etc.) I take it down and stash it in the glove box.
