It makes a big difference whether you have the Bose system or not.

Having the Bose system makes it much easier to connect a amp for your sub since all the wires are already run to your trunk. There are some DIY's in the Audio section.

That's a very, very helpful guide. Just make sure you follow it to the T and you'll be set. Best of luck!

thanks

few questions regarding installation before i start doing it

1.what wires do i need to splice in order to connect them to the amp
Head Output Rear Right + Blue
Head Output Rear Right - Pink
Head Output Rear Left + Teal
Head Output Rear Left - Purple
are these the only wires or there are more that i need to splice?

2.do i have to disconnect the rear 6x9 speakers? if so, how do i reach those speakers?

3.i also have JL Audio XA-PCS4-1 4 gauge cable, do i need to buy anything else to hook my sub and amp up?

4.how do everyone run their red power cable under the carpet? what do u need to remove?

5.what is this wire, and where do i connect this to?(in the pic)

thanks

Here you go...

1.what wires do i need to splice in order to connect them to the amp
Head Output Rear Right + Blue
Head Output Rear Right - Pink
Head Output Rear Left + Teal
Head Output Rear Left - Purple
are these the only wires or there are more that i need to splice?

**You need one more wire from the blue harness. It's blue/silver and for the remote turn-on for your amp.**

2.do i have to disconnect the rear 6x9 speakers? if so, how do i reach those speakers?

**You need have to, but some have. I left mine connected. There's a post on how to remove the rear shelf speakers.**

3.i also have JL Audio XA-PCS4-1 4 gauge cable, do i need to buy anything else to hook my sub and amp up?

**That will be more than adequate for constant +12V to your amp. Don't forget your ground, remote turn-on, and high quality speaker wires.**

4.how do everyone run their red power cable under the carpet? what do u need to remove?

**It's easy once you get thru the firewall. Simply unclip the door sill panel and tuck the wire underneath the carpet.**

5.what is this wire, and where do i connect this to?(in the pic)

**It's a line converter that you can get at any car audio shop. The best way to tap into the blue harness is to strip a 1/4" on the insulation, poke through the strands, insert and wrap converter wire, and then solder. You can use splice connectors, but I don't trust them in the long run.**

This is the link I'm going to use when I install my amp/sub combo in a few weeks.
