double din question

I have an 05 coupe with oem navi and bose system and I'm thinking of the kenwood 8017. My question is what else will I need?

I know I need:
1. JDM AC controller
2. Double din frame

Do I need the wire harness bc I have the bose? If so, which one and is there a difference?

sent uback a PM and no u do not need to replace your speakers. A lot of people just upgrade the headunit and leave everything else stock because the headunit itself can already make a difference in sound quality.

You don't have to change out the bose speakers but you will be shocked at how much better it will sound if you do.

I have the Pioneer Z1 with stock Bose system and aftermarket sub. Sounds a million times better than the original blose system. that Blose HU really sucks.

as for hissing...get a LOC (Line output converter)

http://scosche.com/scosche_caraudio....9&ItemID=SLC-4

It reduce the hissing dramatically.

you can find it at wal-mart for $20-$25.

Also, is the hissing noticable with it still?

IMO, the first thing to replace is the Bose amp. That's the weakest link in the chain. It's short on power and adds unfavorable EQing to the sound, especially the bass.

if u replace the amp u have to replace the speakers. Alittle too expensive. I am okay with the sound of the stock, just want a little blingbling in the car which I think it it lacks

No, you don't have to replace the Bose speakers. You can do that later if you want.

But if you want bling more than better sound, then you're on the right path by just replacing the HU.

You will also need the Nissan diversity antenna adapter or your antenna won't plug into the back of your new radio.
