Pioneer Navigation GPS install

I need to buy a double din kit..I wanted to know if i need just the console or are brackets needed.
I wasnt sure if the brackets that came with the pioneer D3 were enough
any one with knowledge please let me know

you need the console + AC controls + stereo brackets. www.grubbsperformance.com has all you need.

yea but i was told that the brackets are only for an OEM factory head unit that they would not work with an aftermarket pioneer screen

I'm not sure about the Pioneer but I just installed the Alpine iva w205 in my 03 coupe with NAV, to do it I used the ddin conversion console trim/cover and the a/c controller both from Yoshi at j's garage in Japan, the ac controller is on back order everywhere, these guys were great to work with and shipping was quick considering it came from overseas....didn't need a separate bracket...there were enough holes in the alpine unit and OEM bracket to work...hope this helps

You don't need the bracket...just the double din finisher and the ac controls.

yea if you have the 05-06 you can use the factory double din bracket
