Question: Installed my DDK and now Airbag light as come on.

Hey everyone like the title says.....I installed my double din head-unit, amp, and sub about 4 days ago. The problem i have is after the install late on Thursday night when i went to get it my airbag light has come on and is flashing....i cannot get it to go off. The light was never on until late that night on thursday and al day yesterday and today.....My question is if i do an EDU reset or something like that will it fix my problem? Or does anyone know what could of caused this issue?

Did you unplug a yellow connector when you were in there if so that was a cable to your airbag you have to go to the dealer to get it reset.

Yep, they might charge you of course. Just a rule of thumb no matter what car you work on don't disconnect the yellow connectors.

so if my installer just disconnected them for a sec to move some wires and then reconnected them...that can cause it to come on?

Mine is flashing too after i installed my nav unit! I figured i'd just let it keep blinking until i decided to go to the dealer. I figured i'd knocked some plug out some how. Let me know if this works for you i guess i'll try tonight if i find instructions on here

Time to say i just went out to my car and after a few tries of off on i finally got it down and the blinking went away. Guess i should have looked this up a month ago. I really thought i might have damaged something.

Anyhow where i went wrong was turning from ACC to LOCK. It is ACC to OFF or click 2 to click 1 and viola the damn blinking light goes away.

Of course another thanks to G35!!

did you check the connected behind the glove box for the pass side air bag? most likely that is the culprit.

Since it does it when a passenger gets in, maybe it's a legitimate warning. I had my passenger side seatbelt harness tensioner replaced after the airbag light came on. It may not be due to the audio install.
