Please help!!! No sound in car at all!

I just bought a 04 g35 coupe with navi, i think i blew all my speakers some how. I heard a scratchy noise before all the sound went off. My question is... and excuss me for sounding ignorant, but if I have the Bose package... how many speaker do i have to replace? I already have jl audio 10' W3's... i just want sound in the front now right? any suggestions or direction?

Maybe your Bose amp died. Its in the trunk near your spare tire. Is the car still under warranty?

the car isnt under warranty, the cd's play the radio tunes, the sirus works, theres just not any sound comming through. So i have decided to make a project out of this and build a sweet audio system for as inexpensive as possible .

I just need to know the size of the speakers I am replacing right? Does anyone know where I can get that info? I want to replace all of them with better ones and put my JL W3's in the trunk and hook all of it up to a JLB 6-channel amp. does this sound like a good idea to anyone?

thanks

Front doors and rear quarter panels are 6.5" and the rear decks are 6x9's. You also have a tweeter in the top of the door, but you aren't gonna be able to replace that location directly.

Yes, you can replace the stock tweets with new ones. You can replace the fronts with most 6.5" components and drop in some 6.5" 2-ways (coaxials) in the rear side panels if you want some rear fill. Either disconnect or completely remove the 6x9s in the rear deck since these are the "subs" in a Bose equipped G35 Coupe and you're running the JL subs. There are a few good threads on hooking up subs/amps to the factory Bose head unit. You also may want to consider the 4080 boxes for your two JL subs. Searching around this forum will net you some decent ideas since this stuff has been covered extensively. Good luck on your install...I'll be beginning mine in a few days.

I'm being 100% serious. Bang the side of the headunit with your fist. I've had to do that numerous times. It's a common problem. Sometimes my speakers would cut out on the left side, sometimes on the right side, and sometimes all of them. I've had my BOSE headunit replaced twice. It hasn't happened since.
