Hu???...
Which indash player are you using?, Or which one do you recommend?
I was thinking about this one:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1169512508513
cause I've always owned Pioneer and never had any problems.
I already ordered the Double din kit and the A/c controls, what else do I need to install this?....
Im just trying to get a headsup before I buy and install any of this.....

Not a bad unit. Also check out Alpine and Eclipse stuff. You really can't go wrong with any of the above brands. If you have the DD kit, and AC controller, you should be good to go. You will of course need to get the Nissan Wiring harness adapter and Nissan antenna adapter. You can pick this up at Crutchfield or any local car audio shop. Keep us posted on your install.

Does it sound okay with factory speakers?.....I dont plan on upgrading those just yet....
And LMK how the install went...

OMFG! This head unit is effin' awesome!
Just had it installed. This sounds WAY better than the stock head unit.
There's probably a small amplifier built in! My stock speakers sound fine before, but now they are awesome!
Oh, the list of items to install by what I've read:
[x] Head Unit
[x] D-Din
[x] A/C Control
[?] Nissan/Infiniti Wire Harness
[?] Nissan/Infiniti Antenna Adaptor
Optional:
[?] CD-I200 (Hooks up iPod to head unit. Incredible sound quality. Well worth it.)
[?] Pioneer ND-BC2 Rear View Camera (Useful optional safety feature.)
[?] PAC-SWI PS Steering Wheel Interface (To keep steering wheel controls functional.)
I had to get some custom work done to fill the gap between the head unit and the DDin.
There were some holes and I had them custom make a trim piece to fill in the gaps.

trim piece???.....why is that?....Post some pix..

This is the "frame" that came with the AVIC-D3.
Installation manual says it's used to fill any possible holes in the dash.

The frame doesn't even fit around the AVIC-D3. WTF?

Width-wise the AVIC-D3 fits perfectly with the DDin Finisher.
Height-wise there are small holes.
I had installed custom make a frame to fill those holes in.

Oh, and don't buy everything from Best Buy. Rip off. Take some time to research and shop around.
I probably saved over $700 shopping around.
In fact, I saved $325.75 on the D3. Got it for $707.00 whereas it would be about $1082.49 at Best Buy.
I saved money on all of the following accessories by shopping around:
- PAC SW-PS to keep steering wheel buttons functional.
- Pioneer ND-BC2 rear-view camera.
- Nissan/Infiniti wire harness.
- Nissan/Infiniti antenna.
- Pioneer CD-I200 for iPod integration.
Unfortunately, I can't find a deal on the double din finisher or A/C control.
You'll have to buy those from Nissan/Infiniti dealers/retailers or from Japan.
