Custom Ipod mount

Finally finished up my custom ipod mount. It's a custom ashtray insert that I designed and built.

Last little detail I need to finish machining is a clear plastic piece that the iPod plugs into. This will allow the ashtray light to glow around the ipod (hopefully).

I'm using a USA-spec adapter to plug into the factory HU. Works great and easy to install.

Using "direct play mode" allows you to choose between using steering wheel controls, HU controls and ipod wheel to control the ipod. It charges while plugged in and is better sound quality than the crappy iTrip FM modulator that I was using.

no. it has a tight fit. I've been over rough RR tracks and bumpy roads. No problems.
