Anyone that has previously purchased this unit have any reco's on best place to buy or places to avoid? I ordered double din and climate control from Grubbs this morning. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Just bought mine off of onlinecarstereo.com. They have a price break bringing it down to $729.

yup...i just bought one from Amazon..came from 6th ave. price was 696.00

 

curious.. did u also purchase the double din metal bracket ? is that necessary ?

 

I havent installed mine yet...but the word around here is you dont need the metal bracket. You simply have to use the stock one..and drill holes to make it sit flush. Ill be installing mine in a few weeks. So to answer your question, no i did not... just the finisher and ac controller. Seems like a very normal straightforward install except for the VSS wire and the break wire.

 

I ended up purchasing it from us1photo.com for $704. Just waiting on a few more parts and I am ready to install.
