the pioneer avic z1 video playback while driving can be bypassed by turning your headlights on, and then off before the pioneer startup screen, during the text that shows. the z2 can be bypassed by grounding 2 wires. i myself have a avic z1, with z2 software.

Just ground the Ebrkae wire and your all set. I had both the Z1 and the z2 and grounding the ebrake wire was the solution to get my DVDs to play while in motion.
