Could I put this in place of the keyless turn? So instead of turning, I use the push button in its place as a direct replacement?

Someone with the keyless turn will have to do some investigating.

I have no idea.

You should, at bare minimum, be able to install the complete module and have it work in conjunction with the intelligent key system.

Pricing won't be released until all the testing is done.

We are shooting for the $150 range, but the final price will largely be based on the availability of the push buttons. If we are limited by Nissan the price will go up.

Honestly, not to discredit all this great work, but what's really the purpose of the push to start button when the key is required to be in position & turned? One extra turn will turn the car on anyhow.

If someone were willing to go the extra mile and create a intellegent key for our 03-06 G35's, which therefore eliminated the ignition key and had a fully functional push to start button... I'd be willing to cash out atleast $600 for that

Great job anyhow. Please don't take my post as criticism or the wrong way

EDIT: I read a few posts regarding the issues of full integration of a keyless ignition. Even though, it would probably be a huge project, I would still be interested in a keyless ignition push to start button. I'm sure some security features could be implemented. But, I completely understand the difficulty of that. So i'm not really expecting one to come out anytime soon.

i agree, no discredit aswell, but it would make sense to make it for the keyless ignition, if someone knows about the push button with having a smart key, let me know

I would assume that this push button conversion would be quite easy if someone already had the intelligent key. Works the same way. Intelligent key for the coupe currently, turn it once for acc, turn it twice for on, and turn it all the way for start. The button is push once for acc, push twice for on, or push and hold the brake down to start.

This is something I'd be interested, and have it be a direct replacement for the turn key. Unfortunately I'm ignorant when it comes to electrical compenents so I can't help...hehehehe...just demand things! hahahaha

But great work.

It's a purely asthetic mod, like a body kit or wheels. The purpose is to not change the way the car operates but to change the way it looks. The pushbutton adds to the overall appearance of the car, AND it is fully functional.

Again, the purpose of this was to work towards a completely keyless system, which would be really cool, but something only a handful of people would actually be able to install and get working correctly.

Found this DIY thread about putting the push button start on VW Touareg with a keyless entry system. It does not look too complicated to install.

It looks amazing!
