yeh doesnt look to bad but that is a pretty involved process, especially the taking apart of the connector. with a good diy though tough installs become much easier and less time

the lexus's have 1 key hole which is the door, if the battery dies u just get your key fob and put it next to the start button and press the button and wala it works. u can do that till u replace the battery in your key fob.

btw. i like the idea of the push button start but i dont like the idea u have to get the key out of your pocket and turn it then press button. personally i would rather have a setup where i wont have to take out my key just press the button to start and go vroom.

The module has been successfully beta tested and was about to go on sale when I decided to make some major changes to it.

The new version isn't quite done yet, but it won't require you to hold the 'START' button down to crank the car. You will step on the break, push and release the button, and the car will start.

Still waiting

BTW -

Break - separate or cause to separate into pieces as a result of a blow, shock, or strain.

Brake - device for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, typically by applying pressure to the wheels.

Doh! I'm usually pretty good at spelling it correctly.

Hopefully I'll have some new videos up this week of the new version of the module working in my test car.

Yes, you can cut the starter wire so that the key will no longer start the car.

So still no intention of making this to replace the "turn ****" for the newer Gs with the Intelligent Key?

It would be ideal just to remove the "turn ****" and install this button and have everything functioning the same way. I don't think it would be that difficult...in theory at least hahahaha but I'm not very good with electronics and stuff.

I still haven't seen the turn **** you are talking about. I have no intentions of coming up with a custom solution for that specific vehicle, but like I've told you before there is a good chance that this will work with your setup.

Here's an update!

<object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-I6XAj0AQWA"> </param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-I6XAj0AQWA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

Push button start without holding the button down - push and release and the car starts itself!
