ZEnclosures?

Does anyone have any experience with these sub boxes from this EBay seller? I need a new custom box build for the G, because the slot port box I had in my last car won't work! I was hoping to go with another slot port box setup, but I found this instead.

I've read that theyre decent, but that the boxes dont produce the best bass/sound.

^That is my main concern! The last time I bought an off the shelf box, my subs sounded like crap. I then had to get someone to make me a custom slot port box, and the difference was night/day! I won't sacrifice looks, for sound.

Mike, the owner and fabricator of Zenclosures, can make the box to suit your speaker requirements. Call him and let him know the specs of your sub(s) and he will take care of you. His boxes are of good quality.

A lot of people here use those boxes, but the main problem with the Zenclosure setup is that its a single chamber that is about .8 cu. That is way too small for most subs, even shallow mount ones. you can put a divider in there, but that cuts the space into 0.35cu, and you won't find a decent sub that would sound good in that kind of space.
I had the same problem with my setup and even though it was my last choice, i am now buying 4080 enclosures for the drive and passenger side. In my last ride, a '00 Maxima, i spent the same amount on my entire setup as i am spending on just the enclosures and the subs to go in them. if you want to install a decent sub and not loose too much trunk space the only way to go is a 4080 box. or, you could always have a shop make you a Zenclosure type box that is a bit larger.
Good Luck

I'm also in a similar boat. The zenclosures are very tempting for the price, but between SQ and space, I'm really thinking 2 4080's are the way to go. The difference is $600 in price tho, which is pretty significant considering that's more than my subs and amp may cost.

if you really want a zenclosure then just buy a sub that will perform well with those specs. From my experiences with zenclosure they make quality products. You just need to make sure that they suit your applications. Any sub cant just be put in any box.

I already have my subs, two 10" Kappa Perfect 10.1D subs. The specs for the sub in a sealed box says 0.6 cubic feet.
