Homelink rocks!

For the longest time I had the thought that in order to work your homelink buttons, you need a homelink receiver connected to the device you want to operate. It turns out that you can program any IR device as long as you have a transmitter handy. Yesterday I programmed one of the buttons to open my garage. Now when I want to ride my motorcycle, I just roll out the bike and push the button from my car rather then having to roll out the bike, going around the house and to the front door and then leaving.

Just wanted to share my happiness and to let you know, USE YOUR HOMELINK SYSTEM! =)

....and the last horse finally crosses the finish line.

Congrats I love my homelink... I have one button programmed for my parent's place in Indy, one for my Las Vegas garage, and one for our garage in colorado. I don't have to take any transmitters with me (it's not IR, by the way, it works on a radio frequency), and I always have access to "home".
