Magallen 3200 GPS Unit.
Picked on up today from Best Buy ($186 OTD Tax Incl)
Not a bad deal they were running a pre holiday special, so I deceided to jump on it.
So far it seems like a good unit. What I like about it is that it will pin-point gas stations/ent. spots/ grocery stores & stuff like that for you.
Cool for finding an address or even a major intersection.
Not bad for the price too.
What I wanted to know has anyone ever expericence any problems with the unit like it not being accurate, breaking...
And how would you compare the system vs a Garmin or TomTom?

The Magellan 3200 is a fine entry-level GPS. No bells or whistles, but works fine. It's a brand new model, very small, good sensitivity. Limitations are: only has 48-state coverage, "only" 1.5 million POIs, not widescreen. I got one as a perfect rental car travel companion. It's small & light, easy to carry, and I'm not paranoid about having spent $400+ on it!
Another good deal coming up is Best Buy's Black Friday early bird special (23 Nov 07). The TomTom One LE will be on sale for $120, and the Garmin Nuvi 200 will be $170.

I could do that for you for around $1500 and I would've provided everything including the kit and a double din Pioneer navigation unit.

Is there a place to find it cheaper?

^ The largest cost of the DD conversion kits is the AC controller. You have to get a new one.
From my research, Garmin is generally regarded as the best GPS system. That's why I bought my Kenwood DDX 7017, because it worked with thethen new Garmin black box.
Both Garmin and Magellan use Navteq map data, which is a North American based company. Tom Tom uses TeleAtlas data, which is a European company. I figure the North American company may know a little more about US roads. Testing tends to support this.
