Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

What couldn't they provide you with?

I got instructions with mine, granted they were very basic and not too detailed. Do you have the unit?

Basically you need power, ground, splice your nav wires, install your "cop" button, hook up your source, connect your fm modulator wires, install antennas, and install your remote eye. I think that's about it.

If you're looking for more detail let me know.

Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

I don't have a scanner but I have a pretty good digital camera. I'll try and get a decent pic. Like I said before they aren't too detailed. I didn't even use them.

Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

I can't remember but I think there is a wiring harness that you disconnect and then connect 2 seperate harnesses from the Av box into those 2.

Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

The trumpet is supposed to be the Individual IR Sensor. These directions have been slightly altered. I know this becasue I'm looking at the exact schematics that come with the unit recently being sold on EBay for $250-$325.

Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

There's a couple of 4 wire harnesses. You have to cut a pink wire.

Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

hey trentacinque,

your av setup, do you have problem with color not being display properly? My friend have it and normally it takes about 5 to get the correct color. my friend call them up and they said that sometime it require about 5 minutes of warming up before the correct color display properly on the screen. Do you encounter similar problem? thanks.

Nope. No problems. I've never heard of that before.

Re: AVELECTRONIC instructions

my friend and i live in southern california. there are no snow, etc.

but the problem is not the screen rather is the av unit. we test it out by turning on the unit and use the navigation. the color and everyting seem fine. next we let the car sit for 30 minutes, then fire her up and starting using the av unit, picture display weird color for about 1 or more. then after about 2 or more minutes, the color is back to normal. i know so when looking at the rear monitor, it display green on the clothing while the front display show only white.

btw, my friend have the fx35.

trent didn't seem to have any problem. so i guess maybe it might be related to the fx only.
