You can continue using your BOSE speakers with the correct adapter. I personally dont think the stock BOSE sounds anything special. The Clarion HU in there is actually a pretty crappy unit. Adding a decent aftermarket HU will make your stock BOSE sound much better IMO.

This is what you need to retain your bose with DD

You would do yourself a favor by replacing the crappy Bose amp.

If you're getting a new head unit, for the best sound, don't use the Bose amp or the speakers. You can replace the Bose amp with whatever you like. The JL Audio 500/5 fits and works well.

depends what your goals are for your sound system....

IMO, changing out the amp and the stock speakers and keeping the stock HU will give you better sound quality.

If you want the functionality and bells&whistles of an aftermarket DD HU, then swap that out but don't expect much better quality of the stock speakers and Bose amp.

here are pictures of the stock BOSE amp

here are pictures of the stock speakers:
notice how shallow the speakers are and how small those magnet drivers are.

look how big the Infinity Perfect 6.1 drivers and how deep the speakers are.

hope this helps...

can anyone verify that this will work with a g35 coupe w/ bose audio? reason i ask is because crutchfield's site says it isn't compatible, when i select 2003 g35c w/ bose...

This is the same product as the 70-7551 on ebay correct? on e-bay, it is listed as compatible...
I would just like to be sure before i install..
