so i decided to go hardwire the V1, what stuff do i need? i was thinking to use the Mike mount so i can put it under the rearview mirror, so the only thing i will need is Milke mount and the Hardwire kit ? do i need invisi-cord ??

i just baught mikes mount..and used a old black phone cord of mine to connect to the rearview mirror..works fine....

i would recomend getting an invisicord tho...

it's been a while!

+1 for the Invisicord! Cheap and install in about a minute or two..

I didn't get Mike's Mount. Just ended up getting the invisicord and used the small sucktion(sp?) cups that came with the V1. Works, and never falls off.

 

HEY WALLY,can't believe you are still here supporting us, lol...so is inviscord the same thing as mike's mount?? i actually lost the suction that came with the V1.... where can i get inviscord tho?

 

Mikes mount is the mount that holds it under the mirror

 

I have that set up, mikes mount + ebay hardwire kit with a custom MUTE button. I love the mute button, I have it set up on the steering wheel and when the radar goes off i can mute it without taking my hands of the wheel. Install took like 20 min

 

+1 for Mike mount. As for the cable, just find any spare black telephone wire or just go to RS and get it for $0.99. No need to get an invisicord (~$14), it's waste of money!!!
